Firing-pin (plug-style) igniter for Oxbox 80% and 96% gas furnaces in the 40K to 100K BTU range. The igniter is energized by the control board at the start of each heating call to ignite the main burner gas stream. Igniters are a wear part; replace at the first sign of slow ignition or visible damage.
